PTO Minutes 3/31/15 – Thanks again to Kellie Defelice for taking the time – much appreciated!

Principal Report:

Initiative: Beyond the Bell

Special Meeting School Committee

Good Friday is a makeup ½ day.

Still short 2 days. Was going to be extended days however, this changed.

MBTA said no. They would not change things and this would have stranded middle school students with no bus. Other logistical issues. So back to school committee again with an idea that Braintree was doing. This idea is a project. So our Superintendent decided to bring this to our school committee, it is a waiver in a sense. It is a way for the schools/family and community to show off our community. Opportunities offered across the city for students to take part in it. Ideas could include a Squantum History Walk, DA Internet Safety Walk, after school activities.
